DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: In addition to providing direct clinical care to patients in the behavioral health department, this position will provide management and clinical supervision of other masters level therapist in the Behavioral Health program. They will be responsible for developing standards for clinical care, and ensuring that all licensed therapists within the department are in compliance with these standards. This will be accomplished through direct supervision and chart review.The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager will also collaborate with the Director of Behavioral Health to develop and implement programs to support the social and emotional needs of patients and their families in a health care setting.RequirementsEDUCATION: At a minimum, a Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling is requiredCERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Licensed to practice independently and formulate diagnoses in the State of New Mexico as a LISW or LPCC. Completion of prevention and management of aggressive behavior course within 2 months. BLS within 6 months. Must be qualified to provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed masters level therapist, per the rules of the state licensure boards.SKILLS:Direct patient care in behavioral health services including assessment, consult, safety and treatment plan development, discharge planning, linkage to care and navigationAbility to provide clinical supervision to other Masters level counselors and social workersData informed program development, management, analysis, and reportingAbility to lead and build cross-department internal and external teamsDevelopment of Policy and Procedure for the treatment and care of behavioral health populations to include trauma informed care best practicesTraining, public speaking, and presentation skillsWord, Excel, Power Point proficientEXPERIENCE: Minimum three years clinical experience in a behavioral health or related setting. Experience working in a primary care setting is preferred.NATURE OF SUPERVISION: - Responsible to: Director or designee, BHSENVIRONMENT:- Bloodborne pathogen BMultiple simultaneous activities around patient care. Exposure to infectious diseases and intermittent exposure possible to blood, excrements, odors and noise. Work area has normal heat, light, and air.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Emotional and physical ability to cope with stress and physical nature of inpatient work with behavioral health patients; possibility of emergency lifting and need for physical interventions. Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Has knowledge of and uses good body mechanics. Frequently lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients or equipment. Ability to work in crisis and potentially hazardous situation(s). Hearing and visual acuity within normal limits. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required. Is scheduled to be on-call, and expected to work on short notice and on an emergency basis.by Jobble
