• Employment Type: Travel Rate ***/hr REQUIRED ACTIVE/CURRENT UPON SUBMISSION: CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required. BLS & ACLS certification required. Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI or VI), or RCIS Certification. SHIFT: 7am- 17304/10hr shifts POSITION TITLE: Cath Lab Tech/Certified DEPARTMENT: Cath Lab POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist/Cardiologist. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.Graduation from accredited radiologic technology program. SKILLS:
  • Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology preferred.
      • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. EXPERIENCE: One year radiologic experience required and one year interventional or cath lab experience preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager, Cath Lab ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen - C Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation. Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment.Subject to stressful professional relationships.Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
