Overview: Presbyterian is seeking a Diabetes Educator to provide
direct patient care to an assigned group of patients between 0- 18
years in an Outpatient Clinic. - The Diabetes Educator is
responsible for teaching and learning all about type 1 and type 2
diabetes and Pediatric Nutrition. This position has the opportunity
to grow and develop skills with diabetes technology and working
with an interdisciplinary team. - - -Type of Opportunity: Full Time

Develops, plans, and implements a multicultural diabetes skills
education program.Educates, assesses, and promotes self-care and
wellness in the diabetic population.*Coordinates care with
Endocrinologists & local physicians and markets program to
physicians.Advertises program and provides education in all aspects
of diabetes.Collaborates with other community resources and
programsOther duties as required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
in nutrition and clinical dietetics (NM Dietetics RD license
required).Certified Diabetes Educator Certification required.Three
to five years' experience in nutrition, preferably in a community
or clinic setting, and diabetes education experienceRegistered
DietitianCertified Diabetes EducatorBLS Certification required at
