Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs radiographic procedures as requested by
physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic
quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent
and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program
required.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT and New Mexico State licenses
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart
Association required, or must obtain within two weeks from date of
hire or transfer.SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging
equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning,
medical terminology and basic computer skills.EXPERIENCE: Minimum
one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical
education experience.NATURE OF SUPERVISION:-Responsible to: Service
Line DirectorENVIRONMENT:- Bloodborne pathogen CExposure to various
body fluids and ionizing radiation.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts,
positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess
of 50 lbs.Required
