  • POSITION TITLE: Certified Surgical Technician
  • DEPARTMENT: Surgical Services/Patient Care Division
  • POSITION SUMMARY: An integral member of the surgical team who provides support for surgeons throughout the operation by preparing, providing and caring for instruments and equipment and maintaining a sterile field.
    • Job Requirements
    • EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a school of Surgical Technology preferred.
    • CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: BLS certification required prior to end of probationary period. Surgical Tech certification required.
    • EXPERIENCE: One or more years experience in an acute care hospital setting in the operating room or an instrument care environment preferred.

        • Responsible to: Clinical Manager Operating Room and Director, Surgical Services
        • Environment: Bloodborne pathogens
          • Additional Details
          • Employee will be instructed in Universal Precautions and Right to Know.
          • Employee will be expected to utilize all protective equipment available whenever there is a potential for exposure to infectious materials or hazardous chemicals.
