POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians. - Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist/Cardiologist.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. - Graduation from accredited radiologic technology program.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: - ARRT or Board eligible, New Mexico State licensure required. - BLS certification required. For recent graduates, BLS certification required within six months of hire. - ACLS obtained within the first year. -

SKILLS: -

• 
  
• Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, neurologic and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills
  
• Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology preferred
  
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
  
  
  EXPERIENCE: - A graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. - One year radiologic experience preferred.
  
  NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
  -Responsible to: - -Manager, Cath Lab
  
  ENVIRONMENT:
  - Bloodborne pathogen C
  Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
  
  Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. - Subject to stressful professional relationships. - Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
  
  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
