  • Department: Sports Medicine
  • Position Summary: Assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal & cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function that has been impaired by injury or disease, for pain management and for promotion of mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the plan of care for the person served.
  • Performs and directs administration of all physical therapy modalities & collaborates throughout the process with the patient and their family and the interdisciplinary team.
    • Job Requirements
    • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required
    • BLS certification required
    • Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
    • Demonstrates accountability and skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making and time management
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
      • Schedule Information
      • Monday- Thursday 8:00- 4:30
      • Friday 8:00am - 12:00
      • 36 hours per week
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Responsible to: Director/Manager Sports Medicine
        • Physical Requirements: Good physical condition, prolonged standing and walking, lifts, positions, and transfers patients and manipulates occupied equipment, lifts supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs.

          • Environment: Works in a clean, well lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment.
          • Potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients and hazardous chemicals.
          • Subject to stressful professional relationships.
